As I have mentioned before, I like making playlists for characters, stories and relationships that I write. It helps get me in the mood and things like that.

Today (instead of cramming for a Latin test) I started compiling a playlist for Dee throughout Blood Bound. One song per chapter. I call it Ordinary Girl.

Title: What Have We Done?

Summary: When you fight, many things can happen. But afterwards, there is one question that many ask: what have I done?

Author's Notes: This is possibly the weirdest fic I've ever written. Style-wise, I mean. When I first heard the song What Have You Done? by Within Temptation (from their new album, The Heart Of Everything), I was immediately struck with a vision of Leonardo/Karai. And more importantly, a 'songfic' of sorts. Instead of the traditional "Verse/Prose/Verse/Prose" style of songfic that is common and with Evanescence instead of Within Temptation, the characters are 'acting out' the song. Not exactly, of course, but some of their dialogue is direct lifting from the lyrics, while other pieces of dialogue and content is paraphrasing. Anyway, you can watch the music video over at YouTube.

As I said, this is my weirdest fic when it comes to style. It most likely won't happen again, but I wanted to test it out, see if I could make the plotbunny work. I'm sorry if it seems a little OOC - it's been a while since I watched the later seasons of TMNT, and my experience with Karai in particular is very limited.


Oh, and saltation means (amongst others):
1. A mutation that drastically changes the phenotype of an organism or species
2. An abrupt transition
3. Taking a series of rhythmical steps (and movements) in time to music
4. A light, self-propelled movement upwards or forwards

Although I am only meaning one of those (it will be obvious when you see it), I chose it due to its other references, namely to 1.

Also, summary sucks, yes. Any help would be appreciated. And note that this has not been beta'd - so please point out anything.

Bloody hell, it's hot here. Apparently Summer has NOW arrived, and with a vengeance. We had no warm weather throughout December, and now that it is February (and kids have gone back to school) it is so hot that we are all going "... blah..." for most of the day.

I have it worst, as my room faces west, so in the evenings it heats up leik whoa. I currently have my heater on as "fan" so hopefully it will get better.

My sister's iPod FINALLY arrived today. Srsly. She ordered it about a week into January, and it was supposed to arrive three days later. Um... no. So today she used my laptop to set it up (well, I did it) and stole from my giant ass music collection. Girl owes me big.

And she has just come back home demanding the internet. And she's going to be up until one in the morning. The comp room is right next to mine, so I can hear her music and tapping right through the wall (the wall that my bed is against is also the wall which the computers lean against) until one in the morning. And my family wonders why I am sleeping in so late these days? They KNOW I can't get to sleep that easily, and that it takes me at least an hour to do so. So that means I am getting to sleep at two at the earliest.

She's my sister and all, but sometimes I just want to bang her head against a wall.

In other news, I have two babysitting nights. Babysitting = monies. Monies = happy me.

But what is making me really happy is this. Metal, metal and more metal - all able to be downloaded as single songs! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I can't wait to get started. Have already downloaded Delain's debut album (and it's good! So far...) and am almost finished with Tristania's World of Glass. So yay! ♥

Um... am working on icons. Have about a dozen Gargoyles ones and seven or so Star Wars: Clone Wars ones. Am wanting to add to those sets before I add them to disdainfulicons.

Have suddenly gotten back into Pokémon, thanks to a rant on fanficrants, so the moment I finish downloading (and sister gets the net) I'm off to start a new game of Pokémon Emerald. ♥

I think that's it, for now. Tomorrow I am off to my Nana and Grandad's, and taking Grandad out grocery shopping. That is always fun. Remind me to tell you such stories as "Grandad vs Santa Claus" and "Get That Dog Off The Horn!"

Night all.

I was away on a Guide camp for a few days. For the most part it was good: the weather was pretty sunny (save a few rainy spots), I made sure to put on sunscreen (and thus didn't get burned), and I had fun. Sure, some of the kids were brats (not from the unit I will be joining, thankfully), and some of the adults weren't that great either.

I also woke up yesterday morning with a back that was in terrible pain. It happened sometime in the night, and it must have been terrible then - in one of the weirder moments, I dreamt that I went to the chemist, and had to decide between Panadol and Neurofen. Geh.

Slept in until eleven this morning, safe in my own bed.

Have been continuing to update the music on my iTunes, and am up to around 240 albums. Have also discovered that I have some on my Walkman that are absent everywhere else. Which pisses me off to no end.

When I get on the obsession bandwagon, I get on hard, it seems. Donatello was just my very first crush. And he was the one who started off the run of non-human crushes.

If you have heard the Stuttgart cast recording, then you will have heard Leah Delos Santos as Belle, who was Belle when I saw it. She is awesome and made of win. At times she sounded just like Paige.

The sets moved, and were awesome.

Gaston sounded like Hugh Jackman's version.

Sound effects were awesome (like all the comic boings! when LeFou got punched - he punched Gaston in the bow, though).

Babette had a giant fake butt. 'Nuff said. The Wardrobe came out in the battle as one of those cartoony viking women opera singers. :D

Beast was awesome, too.

For the prologue, instead of having actors, it was all done via a projector, as if it were on a story book.

When did Beauty and the Beast become so non-PG? I knew I was in trouble the moment Lumiere said smugly, "Erect!" Oi... at least his 'hands' lit up with actual flames!

I will scan the programme once I get home/figure out how to use my friend Anika's.

Anyway, it's Friday night, and I am sitting on my laptop slowly waiting for my dial-up to download another song from the Spanish cast recording of Beauty and the Beast. Only Spanish I know is how to count to twelve and say 'butterfly'.

Doesn't matter. I am still getting it. This Beast is one of the guys from Il Divo, and OMG. He makes me use netspeak, he is that awesome.

Anyway, it is thanks to minoriko that I can get this recording. She found on 4Shared the Spanish Cast Recording AND the London Cast Recording - bebedebroadway, are you seeing this?

Anyway, am still busy downloading the Spanish one. London is okay - the accents are just so noticable though! Le Fou was... weird, because of it. I've actually been listening to the Broadway recording quite a bit now. I still don't like the voices of the lesser roles, but the more I listen to Susan Egan, the less I hate her. When she's being quiet, I quite like her. She won't be a fave, though. Although I do <3 A Change In Me. I want to know if there are any other recordings of that song out there.

In other news, went and visited the grandparents today. Took Grandad to the supermarket - he's worse than a child, hands in other people trolleys and everything! Ah well.

Mum and sis had a huge row today. She's even worse than she was before. Right royal pain in the arse. She's in huge trouble though, even more so than she was because of the whole party incident.

When Mum and Dad came to pick me up, she held a little party. Which was, natch, against the rules. What followed was a lot of teen drinking, running around the street, climbing of trees, a little property damage, and a whole lot of other stuff.

Which my sister was kind enough to record on digifilm.

Nice one.

I think that's about it. My sister's a bitch and she hates me even more. Ah well. I go to Germany in two weeks, so yay!

I can't believe I finally managed to actually make the list.

My CD list currently comes to 177 CDs.
